NEAR
PRODUCTION ANT HILL and
SUNDAY HILL JV, WA
(50% Auvex owned MESA Mining Joint Venture)
• Early entry into production (2nd Half 2010).
• Mesa Mining has all statutory approvals in place to allow full scale mining of 300,000 tonne of high grade Mn ore increasing to 500,000 tonne within 3 years.
• Trial mining at Ant Hill and the sale of two shipments of manganese, has proven the viability of mining and processing ore ready for sale to world markets.
• Direct ship ore by crushing and screening – technically simple and low operating costs.
• Mesa Mining intends to have Ant Hill in full production in Q3 2010.
EXPLORATION PROJECTS
HORSESHOE PROJECT, WA
Horseshoe Range
• High grade manganese outcrops over a 4.5 km strike length ( Please click on this link for photos ).
• Potential for at least 3M tonne manganese ore resource based on known outcrops.
• Encouraging first pass drill program completed Feb 2010.
• Detailed geological mapping completed in March 2010.
• Follow-up drilling planned on high grade manganese and iron ore outcrops.
• Approvals will be fast tracked to trial mine bulk samples.
• Production expected at 200,000 tonnes per annum by 2012.
• Native title free
Buffs Prospect
• Buffs lease (15km East of Horseshoe) acquired in 2010, has outcropping high grade (up to 52% Mn) manganese.
• Exploration will occur in conjunction with Horseshoe Range activities.
• Native title free
Yarlarweelor Creek Prospect
• Yarlarweelor Creek (30km North West of Horseshoe) acquired in 2010, has outcropping manganese.
• Exploration will occur in conjunction with Horseshoe Range activities
MT EGERTON, WA
• Greater than 25km of geological sequence prospective for manganese across 3 project areas (Mt Egerton, Sullivan Creek & Sawback Ranges).
• Little previous exploration
• Potential for large manganese deposits.
• Rock chip samples are high grade – low in Fe and contaminants.
• 700kms from Port Hedland port.
• 3 year time frame to explore and commence production.
MT PADBURY, WA
• Mt Padbury was historically mined for high grade manganese.
• Outcropping manganese on several mesas ( Please click on this link for photos ).
• Rock chip samples are high grade - low in Fe and contaminants.
• Geological work planned to define drill targets.
• Potential to combine share infrastructure with exploration and mining activities at Horseshoe Range.
• 3 year time frame to explore and commence production.
BIMBIJY, WA
• Bimbijy is situated 80 km north of Beacon in the WA Wheatbelt (within the existing rail network).
• Bimbijy has titanomagnetite and uranium prospectivity.
• Geological interpretation and followup field reconnaissance is planned.
GEORGINA BASIN, NT
• Potential for extensive manganese resources identified from manganese outcrop.
• Tenements of 8,781 sq km prospective for manganese.
• Outcrop samples are high grade up to 45%.
• Surface sampling of outcrops for conductive properties to identify appropriate geophysical methods has been carried out.
• Regional geophysical survey will be conducted to generate exploration targets in areas under cover.
• Geological interpretation of remote sensing data is underway to identify exploration targets.
• A number of photographs were taken on site and show extensive outcropping manganese which covers large areas within the project. ( Please click on this link for photos ).
• Subject to exploration success full time production could be underway within 24 months. • NT allows trial mining parcels up to 40,000 tonnes.
• NT Government approvals most streamlined in Australia.
• Long term plan to generate resources to sustain 500,000 tonne per annum high grade manganese.
