Ant Hill and Sunday Hill JV, WA – 50% Auvex owned MESA Mining Joint Venture
-
Early entry into production.
-
Mesa Mining has submitted the Mining Proposal to allow full scale mining of 300,000 tonne of high grade Mn ore increasing to 500,000 tonne within 3 years.
-
Trial mining at Ant Hill has produced 33,000 tonne of 44.75% Mn and 50,000 tonne of plus 35% Mn ore ready for sale to world markets.
-
Direct ship ore by crushing and screening – technically simple and low operating costs.
-
Mesa Mining intends to have Ant Hill in full production in Q1 2010.
EXPLORATION
Horseshoe, WA - 100% Auvex owned – next to produce
- High grade MN outcrops.
- Potential for at least 3M tonne Mn resource based on known outcrops.
- Detailed mapping to start Sunday 19 July 2009.
- Drilling scheduled to start mid-August 2009.
- High grade iron outcrops to be mapped and drilled.
- Approvals will be fast tracked to trial mine bulk samples.
- Production expected at 200,000 tonnes per annum by early 2011.
Georgina Basin, NT – 100% Auvex owned
- Potential for multi million tonne deposits in outcrop and under cover.
- Outcrop samples are high grade – 45%.
- Size of area 800,000 ha of Mn belt.
- Surface sampling of outcrops for conductive properties and grades to identify conductive properties used to identify best geophysical methods to use for airborne survey, if available then V Tem used to find all major hidden ore bodies with follow up I.P. testing.
- Work to start from Lucy Creek and move over 50 km2.
- Following a site visit to the Lucy Creek tenement at our Georgina Basin project a number of samples were taken. The sample are being sent to Perth for assay and conductivity tests. A number of photographs were taken on site and show the extensive Manganese outcropping which covers large areas within the project. ( Please click on this link for photos ).
- Subject to exploration success full time production could be underway within 18 months.
- NT allows trial mining parcels up to 40,000 tonnes.
- NT Government approvals most streamlined in Australia.
- Long term plan to generate resources to sustain 500,000 tonne per annum high grade Mn.
